Introducing the new Sherpa Romeo and Sherpa Fact websites

The Jisc open access team is delighted to announce the release of the latest version of Sherpa Romeo, which goes live today and is launched alongside a new version of Sherpa Fact.

We have made major improvements that enhance the overall usability of our systems, including at-a-glance summaries of different policy options that are available for a journal, as well as an enhanced API and underlying data model which gives our services more agility for the future.

These changes are an active response to the changing policy environment. Delivering a redesigned interface with a modernised look and feel, we can show more clearly the complex and mutually exclusive policy variations that publishers now offer at different stages of the publication process.

To assist in the transition to our new service, we have plenty of help material for our users.

We would like to thank everyone who took part in the user testing, which was invaluable for informing the development of these latest releases.

The Jisc team would also like to thank our members and our principal funder UKRI for their support of the Romeo service, and our donors worldwide who contribute to its ongoing operation.

We would really like to hear your thoughts, so if you have any questions or feedback about the new releases, please get in touch using our email address help@jisc.ac.uk
